….anti-immigration protesters believe that homeless citizens should be prioritised instead

Anti-immigration protesters have protested outside a housing facility called the House in Multiple Occupation (HMO) in Kent, United Kingdom (UK) over complaints on the Home Offices’ decision to use the property to accommodate migrants, asylum seekers, and released prisoners instead of the prioritising homeless citizens.

The concern is also that there is the concentration of vulnerable institutions like 18 primary and secondary schools, nurseries and old people’s homes in the immediate vicinity, asserting that safety concerns were driving the local mobilization.

The demonstration in Kent comes amid heightened political debates across the UK regarding irregular migration across the English Channel.
