ITME Society will organise the India International Textile Machinery Exhibition 2026 in Noida from December 4 to 9, with more than 1,800 participants.In its first Indian road show, the ITME Society officials told the media in Coimbatore on Tuesday that the event will showcase cutting-edge innovations, advanced technologies, and sustainable solutions spanning the entire textile value chain — from fibre, yarn and fabric to finished products and technical textiles.Spread across 18 exhibition halls covering about 2,40,000 sq. metres, the event will have exhibitors from almost 95 countries.The exhibition is a platform showcasing India’s growing capabilities in advanced textile machinery, sustainable manufacturing solutions, and next generation textile technologies. The focus this year will be on sustainability, digitalisation, automation and Industry 4.0.The ITME Society will organise a technical conference on December 5 and 6 in which global experts, researchers, and technology leaders will discuss the future of textile manufacturing. There will be CEO conclave on “India’s Integrated Textile Transformation: Advanced Materials, Smart Machinery and Strategic Trade Alliances.”The exhibition will also have live demonstration of machinery and buyer-seller meetings.Prabhu Dhamodharan, convenor of Indian Texpreneurs Federation, said the European apparel imports is dominated by just two players holding more than 50 % share. The scope was high for India in both, garments and home textiles, in the European and the UK markets. The recent Free Trade Agreements signed with these countries have opened up opportunities for the Indian manufacturers. Hence, the sector is expected to see investments in the coming months, he said.
