Aug. 11 (UPI) -- Discovery is celebrating Shark Week's best viewership in seven years.

The programming block made the channel No. 1 in prime-time cable for adults for the week of July 26 through Aug. 1.

Seven of the Top 10 shows during this time period had shark themes, with Air Jaws: Red, White & Breach ranking No. 2.

"Shark Week is the must-see event of the summer. We are thrilled that this year's slate of programming connected with fans across every platform and fueled the cultural conversation all week long," Joseph Boyle, head of content at Discovery Channel, said in a statement Monday.
