Exploration and Production (E&P) of oil and gas and regasification businesses, too, saw revenues rising 24 per cent and 81 per cent, respectively
State-owned Gujarat Energy Ltd (formerly Gujarat Gas Ltd) reported a 70 per cent rise in its consolidated net profit in the June quarter to ₹999 crore from the same quarter a year ago. The performance was aided by a strong growth across the company’s city gas distribution (CGD) and gas trading businesses.Consolidated revenue from operations rose 62 per cent to ₹9,771 crore while the CGD vertical rose 90 per cent during the quarter. The gas-trading segment, too, registered a similar growth, of around 91 per cent.Power generation dragsSmaller verticals such as the Exploration and Production (E&P) of oil and gas, and regasification, too, saw revenues rising 24 per cent and 81 per cent, respectively. The power-generation business, however, remained a drag, with its top line declining 42 per cent during the quarter.Shares of Gujarat Energy ended 3.25 per cent higher at ₹274.40 on the BSE on Tuesday.Published on August 11, 2026
