UEFA, CONCACAF and the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) have accused FIFA President Gianni Infantino of breaking the trust of football’s governing bodies through “deception”, escalating the growing crisis surrounding his leadership.
In a joint open letter signed by the presidents and general secretaries of the three confederations, the bodies made clear that their dispute with FIFA goes beyond the collapse of the controversial FIFA Forward Enterprise (FFE) proposal.

They said the controversy now concerns “the integrity of the game and the integrity of those elected to lead it”.
