A single dose of ABCL635 cut hot flash frequency by 83% after four weeks, compared with 33% for placebo

AbCellera stock rose 34% on Monday after the Vancouver-based biotechnology company announced positive top-line results from its Phase 2 trial of ABCL635, an experimental non-hormonal antibody treatment for moderate-to-severe hot flashes associated with menopause.
The trial met its primary efficacy endpoints. Patients who received a single 600-mg subcutaneous dose of ABCL635 saw an 83% reduction in hot flash frequency after four weeks, versus 33% for placebo, the company said. On severity, ABCL635 produced a 58% reduction compared with 12% for placebo. Beyond hot flash reduction, the drug also delivered statistically significant gains in sleep quality and in how patients assessed their own overall condition.
