The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has demanded that the Union Government take serious note of the growing public concerns surrounding the implementation of the E20 fuel policy, which directly affects common citizens and vehicle owners across the country.Following the protests launched in Delhi under the leadership of Arvind Kejriwal, the AAP is now organizing a public agitation in the State to address the issue, said the Kerala leadership at a press meet in Kollam on Tuesday.“The decision to blend 20% ethanol with petrol has raised significant questions from vehicle owners, consumers, and automotive experts regarding reduced mileage, long-term maintenance costs, compatibility with older vehicles, and the fundamental right of consumers to choose their fuel,” they said.To voice these concerns, AAP Kerala will hold a public forum on August 15 at the YMCA Hall in Ernakulam.“The party is urging the Central Government to reconsider the compulsory enforcement of E20 fuel and instead provide clear options for pure petrol alongside blended variants. Additionally, AAP demands an independent, transparent scientific study on the impact of E20 on engine performance and maintenance, a dedicated redressal mechanism for vehicle damage complaints, and an official explanation from the government regarding the extra financial burden placed on ordinary motorists and two-wheeler users,” said the leadership.AAP State president Vinod Mathew Wilson, State general secretary Ali Sujad, Kollam district president Taha, district secretary C.
