DJI and Amazon really want you to jump into the content creator and influencer biz, it seems. Why else would they keep dropping the price of the best-selling DJI Osmo Pocket 3 Creator Combo to new record lows? The latest record — $499, a steep 21% drop from the regular retail $629.

The Creator Combo is the configuration worth buying if you’re serious about the Osmo Pocket 3 at all, because it bundles in the DJI Mic 2 Transmitter alongside the battery handle and mini tripod. At full price, that wireless mic transmitter runs around $100 on its own. Now it’s on the house.

Peak Stabilization

The Osmo Pocket 3 is a gimbal camera, which means the stabilization is mechanical rather than software-based. A 3-axis gimbal physically moves the lens to compensate for hand movement, and the results hold up in situations where digital stabilization tends to fall apart: walking shots, low-light handheld footage, anything where you need the image to stay locked without losing resolution or introducing the warping that crops up with aggressive electronic stabilization. The 1-inch CMOS sensor is the other major selling point here. A 1-inch sensor captures significantly more light than the smaller sensors found in most compact cameras and smartphones, which matters most when you’re shooting indoors, at dawn, or anywhere else the light isn’t cooperating.
