It’s never too late to make an impact—just ask the members of this year’s Forbes 50 Over 50 list.
A grim survey went viral earlier this year revealing 70% of women feel they become more invisible as they age. But the 200 faces on our list tell a very different story, from actors and founders Tracee Ellis Ross and Jennifer Garner to Jamie Miller, who oversees roughly $1.8 trillion in payment volume at PayPal, and veteran Silicon Valley executive Ritu Narayan, who is bringing AI to one of America’s stodgiest icons: the yellow school bus.
The list, which was produced in partnership with “Morning Joe” co-host Mika Brzezinski and her Know Your Value initiative, includes four main categories: impact, innovation, investment and lifestyle.
Ross says she was always enamored by what most women over 30 would derisively refer to as “bags” under their eyes. “To me, they were evidence of life,” she says. “They were evidence of wisdom.”
