…Women leader in critical condition
The final campaign rally of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ilesa, Osun State, was thrown into uncertainty on Tuesday morning after gunmen attacked supporters of the party gathering at Igbogi area of the town.
It was gathered that four APC members were shot in the incident, with two reportedly killed and two others left in critical conditions.
The attack, was said to have occurred at about 7:30a.m, shortly before the party’s scheduled 8a.m rally, as supporters converged on the venue for the commencement of the final campaign activity.
A source in the area, identified as Sola, said the attackers arrived at the gathering armed with pump-action rifles and opened fire on the supporters.
