Duan Jansen was a star performer with bat and ball for the Titans in the 1-Day Cup.
All-rounders Duan Jansen and Eathan Bosch are the two uncapped players named in the Proteas’ 15-man squad for the white-ball tour to Namibia later this month.
Jansen, who is the twin brother of Proteas allrounder Marco, has earned his maiden national call-up after impressing domestically. The 26-year-old delivered consistently across both white-ball formats and was named Division 1 One-Day Cup Player of the Year for the 2025/26 season, having guided the Titans to the 50-over title with a match-winning, unbeaten 61 in the final against the DP World Lions.
He has continued that form during a short stint in the English County Championship, where he was particularly good for Gloucester in the T20 Blast.
Lions spinner Bjorn Fortuin will captain the side as the Proteas take on Namibia and Zimbabwe in a T20 International (T20I) tri-series from 28 August to 6 September at the Namibia Cricket Ground in Windhoek.
