For 19-year-old Annabel, the dream of becoming a nurse was almost swallowed by a journey that took her from her community in Delta State to the streets of Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, where she was trafficked into prostitution.
Today, that dream is alive again.
After weeks of uncertainty and abandonment in a foreign land, Annabel is back home in Ovwiamuge, Agbarho, Ughelli South Local Government Area, Delta State, reunited with her parents and receiving support to rebuild her life and return to school.
