Mojtaba Khamenei, Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic, issued separate decrees on Monday, August 10, appointing six senior military commanders and administrators across the General Staff of the Armed Forces, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), and the Basij. Under these decrees, Ali Abdollahi was appointed Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, while Ahmad Vahidi was named Commander-in-Chief of the IRGC.

As part of these reshuffles, Kiumars Heydari was named Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, and Mostafa Izadi was appointed Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the IRGC.

Additionally, Ali Ozmaei was appointed Commander of the IRGC Navy, while Hossein Taeb assumed leadership of the Organization for the Mobilization of the Oppressed (Basij).

According to a report by Entekhab, the decrees issued by Mojtaba Khamenei promoted Ali Abdollahi to the rank of Major General as he takes over as Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces. Brigadier General Kiumars Heydari will serve as his deputy.

Ahmad Vahidi was promoted to Major General upon his appointment as Commander-in-Chief of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, with senior IRGC commander Mostafa Izadi stepping into the role of Deputy Commander-in-Chief.
