Consulting multinational EY is hiring a head of “agent economics” to oversee a new AI value realisation office, at a time when companies are turning their focus from maximising AI use to the management of spiralling costs.
The new unit is intended to give EY greater visibility into the “material and tangible impact” of EY’s AI investments on its business, said EY global consulting AI leader Dan Diasio.
The new unit is also intended to ensure consistency in the way AI is deployed across the company’s divisions and business functions.
Rising AI costs
AI management needs specialised oversight that touches on areas of finance, technology and HR, said EY global vice chair for consulting, Errol Gardner.
