Investigating Directorate Against Corruption (IDAC) state advocate Drushantha Ramsamy is expected to continue detailing allegations of wrongdoing and procedural failures inside the anti-corruption unit during Advocate Andrea Johnson’s tenure.
Ramsamy has already challenged key aspects of Johnson’s evidence, alleging that her former boss was directly involved in investigative decisions despite telling the commission she relied on investigators’ work.
Ramsamy has also questioned the handling of investigations involving senior Crime Intelligence figures.
Ramsamy accused her former boss of misleading the commission, describing parts of Johnson’s evidence as “a straight lie”.
She also challenged Johnson’s account of how investigations were handled, raising concerns about decisions made within IDAC and whether proper procedures were followed.
