MANILA, Philippines — The number of people taking shelter in evacuation sites in Quezon City has risen to 8,209 as of 9 a.m. on Tuesday, August 11, according to the local government.

This was up from the 6,317 people taking shelter in the city’s evacuation sites recorded on Monday night.

In a bulletin posted on Tuesday morning, the Quezon City government said residents evacuated to the following sites:
