MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Tuesday said the proposed P7.2-trillion National Expenditure Program (NEP) for fiscal year 2027 will focus on “transformative reforms” aimed at advancing the country’s long-term development goals.

In his message following Malacañang’s submission of the proposed national budget to the House of Representatives, Marcos said the spending plan would go beyond funding government programs and projects.
