The oil-producing nation of Libya, on Monday, reported a drone attack close to the Zawiya refinery, one of the country’s major oil refineries.
What followed was a fire that broke out in a diesel tank at the oil depot at the aforementioned refinery after the tank was struck, according to Brega Petroleum Marketing Company.
The tank, which Brega owns, had around 4.5 million liters of gasoline.
This information was disclosed by Libya's National Oil Corporation via a statement on Tuesday morning, which also revealed that there were no casualties.
The statement also added that the plant suffered no damage or casualties, despite suffering 3 drone hits between Sunday and Monday.
