• Accuses former VP of contempt for rule of law

A Former Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Babachir Lawal has threatened to drag the African Democratic Congress (ADC) to court over the alleged substitution of the party’s gubernatorial candidate in Adamawa State, Engr Umar Suleiman.
Besides, the former SGF has warned that the alleged contempt for the rule of law and due process by former Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar will cost the ADC the 2027 governorship election in the state.
Lawal made the disclosure on Monday following confirmation of the replacement of the Adamawa ADC gubernatorial candidate for the 2027 election.
