Methodist Church Vows to Speak Truth to Govt, Calls for Urgent Action on Insecurity

The Methodist Church, Nigeria, yesterday, vowed not to abandon its prophetic responsibility to speak truth to government, even when such interventions provoke reactions from those in authority.
It therefore called on the federal government to take more decisive measures to tackle worsening insecurity, economic hardship, unemployment, corruption and declining living standards.
It noted that increased government revenues and allocations have yet to translate into meaningful improvements in the welfare of ordinary Nigerians.
