NCT Wish (SM Entertainment) NCT Wish earned platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of Japan for its single “Yo-i-don!/Boy Meets Girl,” the organization said Tuesday.The single consists of two summery Japanese-language tracks: upbeat tune “Yo-i-don!” and a remake of the 1994 hit by Japanese group TRF, “Boy Meets Girl.” It surpassed 250,000 shipments, a first for the NCT subunit. The single debuted on Oricon’s Daily Single Ranking in July.The six-piece act first performed the song ahead of its official release at a sold-out fan meetup it held in Tokyo to mark the second anniversary of its debut.Over the past two years, the group released three mini albums. The first EP sold over 790,000 copies in its first week, a record in Korea for an act that debuted in 2024. The subsequent EPs became million-sellers.
