The Dangote Petroleum Refinery reportedly rejected about 15.5 million barrels of crude oil offered to it by producers in the second quarter of 2026, according to the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission.
But the Dangote refinery disputed the claim, asking for statistics.
The NUPRC disclosed this in its Q2 2026 report on the enforcement of the Domestic Crude Supply Obligation released on Monday.
The report showed that producers offered 68.1 million barrels of crude to the refinery during the three-month period, but the facility accepted 52.6 million barrels, representing 78 per cent of the volume offered.
The commission said the refinery had required 63 million barrels during the quarter, but producers offered a higher volume.
