An overnight network update was to blame for as many as 30,000 internet connections cutting out in different parts of Auckland.RNZ readers on the North Shore, Hibiscus Coast and Papatoetoe have all reported issues with internet.A Chorus map showed several outages dotted across the Auckland region including the North Shore areas of Albany, Redvale, Long Bay and Rosedale. Browns Bay and Milford were also affected.About midday on Tuesday, a Chorus spokesperson said the network outages had been resolved and customers should be reconnected shortly."Initial assessment indicates the outage followed a planned overnight network update."We apologise for this service interruption and thank customers for their patience as we worked through this."Downdetector showed a spike in outage reports from Spark, One NZ, 2degrees and Slingshot users - among others - shortly before 9am.There were nearly 32,000 outages across the country.
