As the IDF and settlers push out nearly all Palestinian communities from Area C (under Israeli control), which sprawls over roughly 60 percent of the West Bank, expulsion is advancing into Areas A and B (under Palestinian control) under army protection.A resident described how after settlers arrived, residents called the police, and about 40 minutes later settlers in military uniforms arrived while a settler on an ATV came down from the outpost and headed toward them. Settlers were initially filmed in the yard of the house and, according to a village resident, were seen damaging property. He said that settlers and soldiers then went up together to the outpost at the top of the hill. Hours later, the settlers came down and erected a sukkah beside the house's wall, while settlers in military uniforms joined them and prayed with them. The site where the outpost was established is adjacent to two isolated Palestinian homes. Settlers set up a makeshift road with rocks, cutting off the family living in the house from the village. The family says they now fear leaving the house.Settlers also prevented a Haaretz journalist from reaching the family's home on Monday and blocked the vehicle carrying Haaretz West Bank correspondent Matan Golan and photographer Itai Ron.In the NewsHaaretz CartoonMuslim Progressives Are Reshaping American Politics – and Israel Made It HappenNetanyahu Rejects the Gaza Peace Plan and the Israeli Opposition Says AmenBiggest Israeli Ice Cream Chain Faces $100 Million Suit Over 'Sugar-free' LabelsReports: Russian-Israeli Historian Disappeared After Landing in IsraelRemembering and rebuilding two years laterICYMIIsrael's Leading Philosopher on Manipulation, Morality and the Future of Zionism50 Years Ago, a Young Israeli Was Crowned the Most Beautiful Woman in the WorldIsrael Captured 230 Square Miles of Lebanon, Razed Villages and Built New BasesHow a Teen, Not a Journalist, Debunked Israel's Gaza 'Voluntary Emigration' Plan'I Saw Pictures of Dead Kids.
