Colombia’s newly inaugurated President Abelardo de la Espriella on Monday declared a state of emergency after a powerful earthquake struck the west of the country.
The 7.4 magnitude tremor killed at least 111 people and injured 87 more, De la Espriella stated from the Colombian capital Bogota.
