One of the best Lexus LFAs to ever come to the U.S. is up for grabs right now—and it’s in mint condition.
A 2012 Nürburgring Package variant of the legendary sports car is currently up for private sale through Broad Arrow. The car is one of just 25 examples of the model that were imported to the U.S. and appears to have spent the last 14 years parked.
Lexus isn’t a name that leaps to mind when most auto enthusiasts think about performance, but the Japanese luxury marque is responsible for one of the best sports cars of the century. Back in the early aughts, former Toyota CEO Akio Toyoda wanted to show his company could hand-build a high-performance vehicle that could compete with the very best coming out of Germany and Italy. The resulting car combined a gorgeous, sleek design with lightweight construction and a high-revving V-10 said to emit the “roar of an angel.” The LFA wasn’t properly appreciated during its time, but now, nearly a decade and a half after production finished, it is considered by some to be the platonic ideal of a sports car.
