Plea deal that may have her out of prison in less than two years
Courtney Clenney, an OnlyFans model whose boyfriend died after she stabbed him in what she claimed was an act of self-defense in 2022, has pleaded guilty to manslaughter.
Clenney was facing second-degree murder after fatally stabbing her boyfriend, Christian Obumseli, in April 2022 in their Miami condo. On Monday, Clenney pleaded guilty to manslaughter in a deal with prosecutors, as NBC Miami reports.
Clenney was sentenced to six years in prison, with credit for time served. She has been in jail since her 2022 arrest, making her eligible for release in around two years. Following her release, she will get five years of probation, and has to submit to a mental-health evaluation and treatment. Had she been found guilty of the second-degree murder charge, Clenney faced up to 30 years in prison.
