The water is back, but there’s still no crime.
President Trump clearly hasn’t gotten over what U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro did to him and his whole notion of reflecting-pool justice. The former Fox News host and long-standing Trump supporter has publicly contradicted his claims (and apparent belief) that the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool was damaged by vandals, moving to dismiss several related prosecutions, including one of a former Olympian. She has also cast blame on the Interior Department for misrepresenting those alleged crimes. Trump, meanwhile, has continued to double down on his belief that unknown vandals are to blame, rather than shoddy workmanship.
