Babaseyi said the suspects were being investigated over alleged involvement in a Ponzi scheme, visa scam and other offences relating to immigration.
The Ogun State Police Command has held 23 foreign nationals over alleged involvement in a Ponzi scheme, visa scam and other immigration-related offences in Ota, Ogun State.
The suspects were arrested on August 4 by operatives of the Atan-Ota Division after the police received intelligence about suspected fraudulent activities at a residential building in the area.
According to a statement by the command’s spokesperson, DSP Oluseyi Babaseyi, the operatives arrived at the building at about 11am, secured the premises and arrested the suspects.
