A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress in Oyo State, Prince Oyewumi, has expressed confidence that the party’s governorship candidate, Senator Sarafadeen Alli, will emerge victorious in the 2027 election, citing his strong grassroots support across the state.
In a goodwill message obtained by PUNCH Online on Monday, Oyewumi, a former board member the National Youth Service Corps, described Alli as “an experienced politician, astute public administrator and philanthropist with the political network and leadership experience required to win the governorship contest.”
According to him, Alli had, over the years, built a strong following across the 33 local government areas of the state, adding that his experience would be an asset to Oyo if he becomes governor.
He said, “Senator Sarafadeen Alli has over the years built a formidable grassroots following across Oyo State. His experience as a public administrator and politician, coupled with his understanding of the people, places him in a strong position ahead of the 2027 election.”
