Members of trade unions and farmers associations stage a road blockade in Dindigul on Monday.

Trade unions including CITU, AITUC, LPF and others on Monday staged a road blockade in Dindigul condemning the BJP led Central government. Over 300 protesters were detained by the police.The members of these trade unions demanded the withdrawal of the four labour codes. The labour codes were anti-worker, they said.The members also opposed the privatisation of public sector undertakings. They said the minimum salary to be paid to workers should be raised to ₹42,000.
