Aug. 10 (UPI) -- Chicago Bears wide receiver Luther Burden III is expected to miss the preseason with a groin injury.
Sources told ESPN, NFL Network and CBS Sports about the development Monday. Burden would miss about a month of action, but expected to be ready for the Bears' regular-season opener.
He was hurt at practice Saturday in Lake Forest, Ill.
The second-round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft totaled 47 catches for 652 yards and two scores over 15 appearances over his rookie campaign. He is set to join fellow wide receiver Rome Odunze and tight end Colston Loveland as the Bears' top pass-catching targets in 2026.
