Former Death Row Records boss Suge Knight has refused to testify in legendary rapper Tupac Shakur's murder trial despite being the only living eyewitness to the 1996 assassination.'This trial has nothing to do with me and if somebody brings me there, it's gonna hurt whoever brings me there. I promise you that,' Knight said in an interview last week with ABC News.Duane 'Keffe D' Davis, 63, is standing trial for the murder of Shakur nearly thirty years to the day that the Hit 'Em Up rapper was gunned down in the passenger seat of a BMW in Las Vegas. The musician was in the city to see a Mike Tyson boxing match before he was fatally shot. While it is unclear who fired the rounds that killed the 25-year-old musician, prosecutors will argue that Davis, a former leader of the South Side Compton Crips, ordered the killing and provided the gun used to murder Shakur in the drive-by shooting.The proceedings, which begin today and are expected to last over a month, will see Davis facing life in prison without parole if convicted.Follow the Daily Mail for more updates... Knight, the61-year-old Death Row Records co-founder, told TMZ in 2023 that he believes police have arrested the wrong man for Tupac's murder, and stated that he would not be taking the stand in court. He was injured during the 1996 shooting, and despite being the only living witness, said: '1000% I wouldn't go. I wouldn't testify, none of that.'Last week, he doubled down on his defiant statements to ABC News, saying: 'This trial has nothing to do with me and if somebody brings me there, it's gonna hurt whoever brings me there.
