The spokesperson for the Iranian Parliament’s Civil Commission announced the approval of the general framework of the “Strategic Plan for Ensuring the Security and Progress of the Strait of Hormuz and the Persian Gulf” by the commission.
Abdoljalal Eiri, spokesperson for the Civil Commission, stated that the plan was reviewed on Sunday, August 9, by the commission in its capacity as a secondary committee, where its general framework was approved by members.
According to Eiri, representatives and officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development, the Ports and Maritime Organization, the Khatam al-Anbiya Construction Headquarters, and other relevant bodies attended the session.
Eiri noted that, according to the schedule, the details and individual articles of the bill will be reviewed in upcoming meetings alongside agency representatives before being submitted to the full parliamentary floor for final approval.
At the same time, Hassan Qashqavi, spokesperson for Parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Commission, announced on Sunday that the general framework of the same bill had been approved by his committee.
