MOSCOW, August 10. /TASS/. Russia's foreign trade surplus for January-June 2026 increased by 13.98% year-on-year to $73.4 billion, according to data from the Federal Customs Service of Russia posted on its official website.
In the reporting period, exports rose by $23.2 billion to $219.5 billion, while imports grew by $14.2 billion to $146.1 billion. Consequently, Russia's total trade turnover in January-June 2026 increased by 11.4% year-on-year, reaching $365.6 billion.
Foreign trade by country
According to the Federal Customs Service, Russian exports to European countries fell by 5.6% to $28 billion, while imports rose by 8.7% to $37.1 billion. At the same time, Russia boosted exports to Asian countries by 17.2% to $174.9 billion, while imports from these countries grew by 12.6% to $98.9 billion.
Exports to African countries edged up by 1.1% to $10.7 billion, whereas imports shrank by 9.9% to $2.2 billion.
