The 30-billion-parameter Muse Glimmer model is available for free download on Hugging Face and requires only a single consumer GPU

Meta $META released Muse Glimmer, a new open-weight AI model built to run on a Mac or PC with a single consumer graphics card, the company said Monday. The model is available for free download on Hugging Face under an Apache 2.0 license.
Muse Glimmer has 30 billion parameters and is optimized for agentic tasks that run locally on a device, such as schedule management, file organization, and coding, according to Meta. The company used quantization techniques to compress the model to approximately 17 gigabytes, down from the more than 55 gigabytes a full-precision version would require, making it compatible with consumer GPUs with 24 or 32 gigabytes of memory, the company said.
