Australian investment firm Macquarie Asset Management has closed its acquisition of IHS Towers' Latin America (Latam) wireless tower operations.
The deal, first announced in February, was completed last Friday (August 7). It includes more than 8,700 wireless tower sites in Brazil and 250 sites in Colombia.

Macquarie didn't disclose financial details in its announcement confirming the deal, though it was previously noted that the deal to acquire the unit was worth an enterprise value of approximately $952 million.
“Brazil continues to be one of the most attractive infrastructure markets globally, supported by growing demand for connectivity and long-term investment in critical services,” said Fernando Lohmann, Brazil country lead for Macquarie Asset Management.
