MOSCOW, August 10. /TASS/. The Kiev regime committed deliberate acts of terrorism by launching drone attacks on the Russian cities of Belgorod and Nizhnekamsk, Russian Foreign Ministry Ambassador-at-Large Rodion Miroshnik told the Vesti television news program.
"It’s an entire series of blatant acts of terrorism. More than 80 civilian casualties were reported in two attacks over the past couple of days alone. The strikes on Belgorod and Nizhnekamsk claimed the lives of 18 people. These are enormous figures that demonstrate a deliberate escalation of violence and the use of terrorist methods targeting civilians and civilian facilities," the diplomat pointed out.
According to Miroshnik, the Kiev regime sought to achieve a political effect by "intimidating civilians."
"It’s an attempt to put pressure on the civilian population inside a country subjected to such acts of terrorism," he went on to say. "A group of drones was launched against specific targets, and those targets were civilian sites," Miroshnik added.
Earlier, the press service of the head of Russia's Tatarstan Region said the region had been subjected to an enemy drone attack on Monday morning. The strikes targeted both industrial and civilian facilities. Thirteen people were killed and about 40 were injured. The region announced a period of mourning for the victims.
