Nifty 50 began today’s session at 24,581 versus Friday’s close of 24,571. The index is now hovering around 24,600, up by a marginal 0.1 per cent.
The advance/decline ratio stands at 25/25. Titan Company and Tata Steel, up 3.1 and 2 per cent respectively, are the top gainers. On the other hand, Bharti Airtel and HDFC Life, down 1 per cent each, are the top losers.
Nifty IT, up 1.1 per cent, tops the chart among the sectoral indices, followed by Nifty Realty, up 0.9 per cent. Whereas Nifty PSU Bank, down 0.5 per cent, is the weakest sector so far today.
While Nifty 50 appears flat at the moment, the price action on the daily chart hints at good buying interest over the past few sessions. Thus, there is a positive bias in Nifty 50 as well as Nifty futures.
