Former Senex Energy managing director Ian Davies, who oversaw the ASX-listed company’s $884 million sale to Korean steel-making giant POSCO in 2022, is clearing his calendar as he mulls bringing two new companies to the bourse next year.
Davies over the weekend resigned as the chairman of the $451 million Ampltitude Energy (née Cooper Energy) after a year-long stint during which the company hit record production, cut net debt by 85 per cent, agreed terms to buy the Artisan gas field from the Stokes-backed Beach Energy and raised $150 million. Its share price rose as high as $3.13 in February, but is down 48 per cent over 12 months.
