The Tambaram Police Commissionerate has launched an AI-based social media chatbot service for residents to access the various police services.The chatbot named ‘Tambaram What’s Cop’ is aimed at making police services more accessible, improving citizen safety, and strengthening public participation through technology. The service will be available after sending a “hi” message on WhatsApp number 9344222100. The chatbot service allows residents to report about drug-related activities, suspicious movements, public nuisance, offences against women, and other illegal activities, a police officer said.The chatbot also allows women to register their journey and receive police support in case of unusual delays or deviation of routes.
