ByEFRAT FORSHER, JERUSALEM POST STAFFAUGUST 9, 2026 18:24Police officers were attacked by dozens of young men after arresting a Jewish Israeli suspect who attacked officers in the process of seizing a cache of weapons in the Kochav Hashahar area of the West Bank on Sunday.According to police, officers responded to the scene where the weapons were found. The suspect began attacking the officers, injuring some of them, before he was arrested.After he was arrested, around 50 individuals arrived at the scene and began disrupting the police’s activity, surrounding the officers and eventually causing the suspect to escape.Law enforcement launched a search to locate the attackers, and bomb disposal experts were called to the scene to neutralize the seized arms.This is a developing story.Follow us on Google
