Most Americans are choosing neutral grayscale colors for their new cars, according to a recent study.Grayscale colors, including white, black, gray, and silver, now make up over 80% of the car market.White remains the most popular car color, followed closely by black and gray.Cars often come in a bevy of bright colors, but most Americans are opting for neutral grayscales when they buy new vehicles, according to a recent study.Grayscale colors like white, black, gray, and silver make up 80.4% of the car market, up from 47.3% in 1996, according to a study conducted by the website ISeeCars.com.According to the study, grayscale colors are dominating in the truck category, with 83.5% of vehicles in that segment coming in one of those neutral colors. Sports car owners are more adventurous when it comes to colors, with 36.2% of those vehicles being non-grayscale colors like red, green, and blue."White was the most popular car color 30 years ago and it maintains that ranking today," the website said.
