Overnight drone and missile attacks have killed several people and injured dozens more according to various local authorities in Ukraine and Russia.

In the southern Russian city of Belgorod, near the Ukrainian border, at least five people were killed and 25 injured.

Belgorod's acting governor said that several apartment blocks had been hit overnight and images posted to social media showed several fires.

Belgorod is a key logistics hub for Russian offensives in Kharkiv and the Donbass.

Russian authorities, who said more than 150 Ukrainian drones had been downed by their forces overnight, also reported attacks on the Black Sea ports of Novorossiysk and Gelendzhik.
