A number of people have been seriously injured following a crash on the M50.Gardaí are currently at the scene of the two-vehicle crash that occurred between junction 11 and junction 12 southbound, close to Firhouse at around 5.30am.In a statement, gardaí confirmed “a number of persons were removed from the scene to hospital with serious injuries.“The M50 from junction 11 to junction 12 southbound is currently closed and diversions are in place.“This is a live incident and there is no further information at this time,” gardaí added.Separately, a man aged in his 20s is in a serious condition in hospital following a car crash in Co Kerry in the early hours of Sunday morning. The crash involving a bus and a car happened at Aghatubrid, Caherciveen, at about 5am. The young man who was driving the car was seriously injured and has been taken to Cork University Hospital. The driver of the bus, a man aged in his 50s, was uninjured. The road is currently closed and will be examined by Garda technical staff. Diversions are in place.Gardaí have appealed for anyone who may have witnessed this crash to come forward.
