The IDF will not carry out any withdrawal until Hamas is disarmed.”Netanyahu also defined what Israel considers Hamas disarmament, saying it must include every category of weapon held by the terror group.“When I say disarming Hamas, that means the heavy weapons, the less heavy weapons, all the weapons,” he said. “And we are talking about real disarmament, not fake disarmament.”The prime minister said Israel remained in discussions with the United States over the issue.“We are talking with the Americans about this,” Netanyahu said. “They have ideas, some of them are acceptable to us and some are not acceptable to us, and we know how to stand our ground on these matters. We proved that in the past and we are proving it today as well.”Netanyahu added that the IDF would continue acting against threats to Israeli forces and civilians.“The IDF will continue to thwart threats against our forces and against our citizens,” he said.Comments
