Fans of the long-running festival, the Delicious International Food and Music Festival, have been left rather surprised by the news that it has been postponed to April 2027.
The Delicious International Food and Music Festival has become synonymous with Heritage Weekend in South Africa, with it having taken place during the month of September either on Heritage Day or the weekend of the public holiday.
However, this year organisers have been thrown a spanner in the works with Multichoice, a Canal + company, withdrawing sponsorship. Hopeful attendees had been waiting for the announcement of the headline acts but had begun to worry with July ending with no announcement.
Suspense regarding the future of the two-day festival was brought to an end when organisers announced that they are "turning the page" and "entering a new era".
