Aug 9, 2026 – 8.00pmRegional and independent pub owners have cut ties with Tabcorp and removed the company’s electronic betting terminals from their venues after it increased weekly fees and lowered commissions, and hotel associations warn that more venues are now looking to follow suit.Jamie O’Keeffe and Sam Fielke, the owners of the Kyneton Hotel in Victoria, earned about $600 in weekly commissions, equivalent to $30,000 a year, from the pub’s two terminals.
