It is almost identical to the PICCA Convention Centre in Butterworth, where we held the Malaysia Day celebration last year,” he told reporters after the Japen@Petronas Jalur Gemilang Expression Programme here today.Fahmi said preparations for the Malaysia Day celebration were progressing smoothly, with the next meeting scheduled for August 24 to further discuss arrangements for the event.Meanwhile, he said Prasarana Malaysia Bhd has committed to providing 24-hour public transport services in conjunction with the National Day celebration in Putrajaya on August 31.He said the measure was an improvement over previous years and was expected to make it easier for the public to travel to Putrajaya and return home after the celebration.“We also take note that several other infrastructure facilities will be improved. We hope this will help more people not only to come to Putrajaya, but also to head home after the National Day event concludes,” he said. — Bernama
