Fifa has warned against a "concerted and ongoing effort" to undermine its president, Gianni Infantino, amid allegations about his private life.

The crisis follows the collapse of Infantino's efforts to sell off a stake in the commercial rights of the World Cup and other tournaments.

Uefa and several football federations have called for Infantino to resign, citing a loss of institutional trust in his leadership.

Despite mounting opposition, Infantino retains broad support, with CAF, Conmebol and Mexico's football federation all backing his continued presidency.
